The Backend Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role focuses on ensuring the quality of software solutions through automated testing. The position involves collaborating with software developers, architects, and business partners to translate requirements into effective test strategies and plans, utilizing tools such as Rest Assured, SQL, and Java.
Responsibilities
- Translating business and systems requirements into test strategy, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining automated tests and tools.
- Adhering to Quality Engineering Practices in the development of automation scripts.
- Understanding and applying BDD design concepts to test software solutions.
- Adhering to industry standard best practices in Quality Engineering.
- Delivering accurate and maintainable code for automation and software utilities.
- Measuring and reporting key QA metrics.
- Collaborating with other technical resources to suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and standards.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the maintainability of the automation platform.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in software testing and automation.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in Java for programming and automation scripting.
- Experience with Rest Assured for API testing.
- Knowledge of SQL for database testing and validation.
