About the position

The Backend Services Developer IV is responsible for designing and developing software as part of a multi-disciplinary Agile Development team. This role involves writing code, interacting with internal and external teams to gather and validate requirements, and supporting the full software life cycle. The developer will also prepare various design specifications and documentation, ensuring that user needs are met through effective software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software within the Agile Development team.
• Write code as part of the multi-disciplinary Agile Development team.
• Interact with internal and external teams to validate requirements and understand user needs.
• Prepare design specifications, conceptual diagrams, process flows, data models, prototypes, user interface designs, use cases, screen layouts, test plans, deployment plans, system documentation, and user documentation.
• Support the full software life cycle, including staging solutions and providing updates and fixes.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Agile software development experience in a DevOps environment.
• Experience in programming languages Java and SpringBoot.
• Experience with advanced SQL query writing, data retrieval, and data mining from relational databases such as Oracle (PL/SQL).
• Experience with multiple operating systems including UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
• Experience working with various intelligence disciplines.
• Experience with multi-threaded, big data, distributive cloud architecture such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Cloudera, Hive, Spark, and Elastic Search.
• Experience providing direct support within the intelligence community.
