The E-Commerce Risk Control (ECRC) team plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of TikTok's e-commerce platform. This team is dedicated to protecting users, including buyers, sellers, and creators, by creating a secure online shopping experience. The ECRC team is tasked with building state-of-the-art risk control solutions and operational processes while collaborating with various cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The primary goal of the ECRC team is to prevent and detect risks on TikTok's e-commerce platforms, such as TikTok Shop. This involves addressing various business risk areas, including account integrity, incentive abuse, malicious activities, and information leakage. As a Backend Software Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for designing and building a robust service framework that supports risk detection machine learning models. You will work closely with machine learning engineers to optimize model performance and reliability, ensuring that the e-commerce platform remains a safe and trusted environment for transactions. In this role, you will also develop efficient data querying infrastructure for both offline and online analysis, helping to uncover evolving attack patterns and identify weaknesses in risk defense solutions. You will define risk control measurements, quantify and monitor risk-related metrics, and promote data-driven practices within the risk teams. Effective communication and documentation of results will be essential, as you will need to convey complex information to diverse audiences through writing, visualizations, and presentations.
