About the position

The position involves working with Employment Background Checks, where the primary responsibility is to effectively process and complete background screening orders. The candidate will need to understand the various services offered, including driving history requests, employment verifications, and education verifications. Familiarity with vendors and the necessary passwords for making online information requests is essential. The role requires the ability to explain and process all searches provided to clients, ensuring that they are well-informed about the services available to them. In addition to processing background requests via the online platform, the candidate will be responsible for following up on pending backgrounds and maintaining communication with clients regarding drug testing and other related inquiries. Excellent customer service is a must, as the candidate will be required to explain the Pre-Adverse and Adverse Action processes to new clients, providing them with sample letters as needed. The role also involves suggesting revisions to forms used in the process, indicating that the candidate's input is valued. Other duties include answering incoming calls with proper etiquette, managing time effectively, and responding to emails promptly. The candidate will also need to set up clients and products in the platform once agreements are received and periodically audit client files for accuracy. Attendance at PBSA webinars for compliance regulations and obtaining PBSA FCRA basic certification within the first year of employment is also required. The work hours are Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, with weekends and company-recognized holidays off unless workload dictates otherwise. This position is not remote and is available as both full-time and part-time.

Responsibilities

  • Understand our services (Employment Background Checks)
  • Effectively process and complete background screening orders
  • Explain and process all searches provided to clients
  • Familiarize with vendors and passwords for online information requests
  • Identify forms for out-of-state driving history requests, employment verifications, and education verifications
  • Familiarize with ECO server case file set-up and ECO client folders
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Explain the Pre-Adverse and Adverse Action process to new clients, providing sample letters
  • Independently process all background requests via the online platform
  • Follow-up on backgrounds in process and keep track of new and pending backgrounds
  • Locate LabCorp or Quest Lab and send location and chain of custody form to clients or applicants when necessary
  • Keep clients updated with pending drug tests that haven't been taken
  • Suggest revisions to the forms used
  • Answer incoming lines using proper phone etiquette
  • Navigate and conduct basic research on the internet
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize work based on need
  • Pay close attention to detail when processing each order
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Set up a client and product in the platform once the completed agreement is received
  • Periodically audit client files for billing information, service agreements, and contact information
  • Contact existing clients for updated contact information, users, service agreements, and posters
  • Attend PBSA webinars to learn about compliance regulations
  • Obtain PBSA FCRA basic certification in the first year of employment

Requirements
