As a Backroom Associate at HomeGoods, you will play a vital role in delivering a highly satisfying customer experience. This position requires engaging and interacting with customers, embodying the principles of customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. You will adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards, ensuring that the store meets the expectations of both the company and its customers. The role may involve cross-training in multiple areas of the store to support the business's needs effectively. In this position, you will model established customer experience practices with both internal and external customers, fostering a positive store culture grounded in honesty, integrity, and respect. You will be responsible for accurately ringing up customer purchases and returns, ensuring that change is counted back to customers according to established operating procedures. Additionally, you will promote credit and loyalty programs, maintain merchandising standards, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures. Your responsibilities will also include participating in store recovery throughout the day, maintaining organizational and cleanliness standards, and contributing to a safe working environment. You will be expected to provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, adhere to all labor laws and policies, and support the store's shrink reduction goals.
