About the position

The Backroom/Processing Associate at HomeGoods is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and adhering to operational and merchandise standards. This role involves cross-training in multiple areas of the store to support business needs and embodying the company's values of honesty, integrity, and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
  • Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store as needed.
  • Accurately ring customer purchases and returns, counting change back according to procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs during customer interactions.
  • Follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
  • Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company standards.
  • Participate in store recovery throughout the day.
  • Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor.
  • Provide and accept ongoing recognition and constructive feedback.
  • Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Support store shrink reduction goals and programs.
  • Participate in safety awareness and maintain a risk-free environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Retail customer experience preferred.
