As a Baker at Aramark, you will be an integral member of our Food Services Team, where your passion for baking will be ignited. In this role, you will be responsible for baking and preparing a variety of food items according to production guidelines and standardized recipes. You will set up your workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment, ensuring that you are well-prepared for your tasks. Your responsibilities will include measuring, weighing, mixing, and chopping ingredients, as well as operating various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, and mixers. Safety is crucial, and you will be expected to use utensils, including knives, safely and effectively. Maintaining food safety is a key aspect of this position. You will properly store food in accordance with food safety policies and procedures, and you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing your work areas, equipment, and utensils. Excellent customer service is essential, and you will be expected to maintain a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers. Adhering to Aramark's safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation practices, is a must. Responsibilities

  • Bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
  • Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
  • Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
  • Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
  • Proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • Required to obtain food safety certification(s)
  • Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
