About the position

The Baker, under the direction of the Bakery Manager, will provide high quality fresh baked goods. This position is essential in executing the baking plans laid out by the bakery manager. The Baker will be responsible for prepping, proofing, and baking a wide variety of bread, sweet goods, and specialty items. The role requires a commitment to delivering superior guest service and ensuring absolute customer satisfaction. The Baker will read and follow recipes accurately to produce baked goods and will utilize all necessary equipment to achieve this. Additionally, the Baker will work closely with the bakery manager to guide the flow of the packaging station, ensuring that all products are packaged correctly and efficiently. The Baker is also responsible for maintaining an organized, clean, and well-inventoried work station. Adherence to all store and department policies and procedures is crucial, as is compliance with Health Code guidelines. The Baker must follow all safety policies and procedures, acting as a safety role model within the bakery environment. Other duties may be assigned as needed, reflecting the dynamic nature of the role and the bakery's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers superior guest service and ensures absolute customer satisfaction.

  • Responsible for the organization, cleaning, and inventory of the work station.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Some food service experience is preferred.
  • Food Handlers Certification as required by State Law.
