About the position
The Bakery Assistant position is a full-time role focused on supporting the bakery team in the preparation and decoration of baked goods. The ideal candidate will work closely with the chef, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained while learning and growing in the baking field.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of baked goods, including cakes and pastries.
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality in all products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and bakery areas.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and knives.
- Support cake decorating efforts as needed, showcasing creativity and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Previous bakery experience, with a preference for French/Italian pastry experience.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with management.
- A passion for baking and willingness to learn new techniques.
