This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in a bakery environment, particularly students in pastry school. The position involves assisting with baking, buttercream preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, or pans by hand
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized
- Assist with buttercream prep, baking and basic bakery preparation tasks as needed
- Dispose of kitchen garbage and manage recycling activities
- Follow health and safety guidelines
Requirements
- Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
