About the position

As a Bakery Clerk at WinCo Foods, you will play a vital role in the bakery department by producing and packaging various baked goods while ensuring a clean and inviting workspace. Your commitment to friendly customer service and attention to detail will help create delightful experiences for customers. This position involves working varied hours, including weekends and holidays, and requires a valid Food Handler Certification.

Responsibilities

• Scale, mix, and bake various bakery goods.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of products.
• Ensure cleanliness and appearance of the bakery department meets standards.
• Provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Package all fresh products following all packaging/handling procedures.
• Mix icing or other toppings by scaling and measuring ingredients.
• Ice cakes and personalize them according to customer requests.
• Display products on shelves using FIFO for rotation.
• Take orders by phone and in person from customers.
• Assist customers with inquiries regarding special orders and product availability.

Requirements

• Ability to consistently provide friendly, courteous service to customers.
• Ability to work varied hours primarily between 3:00 am to 10:00 pm, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs and push/pull approximately 100 lbs of product.
• Ability to conduct visual inspections and follow production guides and recipes.
• Ability to perform basic math and compute weights and measures.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Handlers Certification (Per State Laws).
