About the position

As a Bakery Clerk at WinCo Foods, you will play a vital role in creating delightful experiences for customers by preparing and serving a variety of baked goods. This position emphasizes the importance of maintaining cleanliness, ensuring product freshness, and providing exceptional customer service in a community-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Scale, mix, and bake various bakery goods.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of products.
• Ensure cleanliness and appearance of the bakery department meets standards.
• Provide friendly, courteous service to customers.
• Package all fresh products following packaging and handling procedures.
• Mix icing or other toppings by scaling and measuring ingredients.
• Ice cakes and personalize them according to customer requests.
• Display products on shelves in an appealing manner using FIFO for rotation.
• Take orders from customers both in person and over the phone.
• Assist customers with inquiries regarding special orders and product availability.

Requirements

• Ability to consistently provide friendly, courteous service to customers.
• Ability to work varied hours primarily between 3:00 am to 10:00 pm, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to push and pull approximately 100 lbs of product at a time.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to conduct visual inspections and follow production guides and recipes.
• Ability to perform basic math and compute weights and measures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
