About the position

By the Way Bakery is looking for enthusiastic and engaging individuals to join their team as counter associates. This part-time position involves providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment at a gluten-free, dairy-free, kosher bakery. The role requires standing for the entire shift and lifting up to 50 lbs during deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greeting customers and anticipating their needs
• Articulately describing store products and custom options
• Sharing important information about allergens and related concerns
• Entering and processing customer orders with precision
• Organizing and replenishing inventory of baked goods and packaging
• Investigating and resolving customer complaints
• Maintaining a spotless store environment through constant cleaning
• Providing an exceptional guest experience from start to finish

Requirements

• Customer service experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Cash register experience
• Food service experience
• POS system knowledge
• Cleaning skills
• Food safety knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Food Handler Certification (preferred)
