About the position

The Bakery Manager at The GIANT Company is responsible for overseeing bakery operations, ensuring quality production, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role involves managing team members, scheduling work, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Review the work schedule and prepare for duties at the start of the shift.
  • Enter orders, schedule work and production, and supervise and train team members.
  • Receive, store, and stock items, checking dates and changing pricing as needed.
  • Assemble and mix ingredients, bake goods, and package baked products.
  • Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, and display cases.
  • Oversee the operations of Starbucks within the bakery.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must complete a 60-day introductory (probationary) period.
  • Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for the position.
  • Must be able to use or learn to use the necessary equipment and tools.
  • Must perform all job functions safely and meet company performance standards.
  • Must have a valid identification.
  • 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.
  • Must complete the in-house forklift-training program.
