About the position

The Bakery Production Manager at SusieCakes is responsible for leading the culinary operations of the bakery, ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods while fostering a positive and celebratory work environment. This role involves training and developing the culinary team, adhering to food safety standards, and managing daily production tasks. The manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the bakery's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the culinary team by motivating, training, and developing team members in the production of baked goods.
• Ensure adherence to recipes and standard operating procedures for cakes, cookies, pies, and other desserts.
• Oversee the production of custom baked goods and assign daily production tasks to team members.
• Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to food safety code standards.
• Develop and train team members in mixing, baking, and building techniques.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Culinary, Baking, or Pastry Arts preferred.
• 2 years of leadership experience in a team environment.
• Ability to work in multiple regional locations.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in pastry production.
• ServSafe Manager Food Handler Certification.
