About the position

The Bakery Sales Associate at Layered Cakerie is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced bakery environment. This role involves interacting with guests, processing transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bakery. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, outgoing, and capable of multitasking effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with guests to fulfill orders
• Accurately ringing transactions into the register
• Handling cash accurately
• Making drinks according to recipe guidelines
• Organizing and maintaining cleanliness of bakery showcases
• Restocking showcases
• Assisting guests with custom cake inquiries
• Answering phone calls for reservations, cake orders, and take-out orders
• Wrapping cake slices, scooping cookies, and miscellaneous prep work to assist back-of-house production
• Deep cleaning throughout the shift

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months experience in a bakery setting
• Customer service experience of at least 1 year
• Barista experience preferred, but willing to train
• Friendly, outgoing, and personable demeanor
