About the position

The Bakery Sales Associate at Yoke's Fresh Markets is responsible for providing a pleasant and efficient bakery experience by actively engaging guests and ensuring they receive exceptional hospitality and professional service. This role involves promoting sales, mentoring new associates, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while upholding the company's core values and mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service by greeting guests and informing them of specials and product information.
• Promote sales through active discussions with guests, offering product recommendations and samples.
• Mentor new associates and assure a positive learning environment.
• Operate bakery equipment safely and correctly, including ovens, slicers, and fryers.
• Communicate and complete guests' special order requests accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and guest services.
• Participate in the Bakery Department's accident reduction plan and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid State Food Handlers Permit.
• Valid Driver's License or State I.D. Card.
• Ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly with guests, vendors, and fellow associates.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a bakery or food service environment.
• Knowledge of bakery products and services.
