About the position

The Bakery Technical Manager is responsible for training new employees on baking and merchandising products sold by the company. This role requires a self-motivated and organized individual who can travel locally and occasionally out of state to provide technical support and training at various customer locations, primarily in the Midwest.

Responsibilities

• Train new employees on baking techniques and product merchandising.
• Provide technical support during customer grand openings and re-openings.
• Conduct retraining sessions for existing staff as needed.
• Travel to various store locations to ensure proper product display and merchandising.
• Check product proofing and baking processes at customer locations.
• Plan and secure product placements in stores.

Requirements

• Experience in baking and knowledge of bakery products.
• Strong communication and teaching skills to train individuals with no prior experience.
• Ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state for training and support.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, day shifts, and weekends as required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a bakery or deli environment.
• Familiarity with different manufacturers' products and baking specifications.
