About the position

The Bismarck Larks are seeking an Operations Coordinator in Bismarck, North Dakota to support and grow our ballpark operations and events teams. We are looking for a highly motivated, coachable, and professional individual who strives for excellence and inspires the same in others. As the Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for the management and execution of all ballpark and team operations which includes but is not limited to: food and beverage, player personnel, game day staff, merchandise and event and sponsor promotions. You'll work closely with all internal departments to manage and track budgets, processes, and other operational logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain ballpark inventory, stadium set-up, and tear down
  • Assist operations team in overseeing all food and beverage operations including but not limited to menu planning, product ordering and receiving, inventory, equipment, etc.
  • Ensure ballpark food operations meet game day/event timelines and exceed guest expectation
  • Assist operations team with hiring, training and developing part-time employees according to Bismarck Larks standards
  • Adequately schedule all part-time staff during the season
  • Establish and maintain a clean line of communication with internal departments to ensure the most successful operations strategies and execution of ballpark operations and events
  • Maintain vendor relationships for operational and promotional needs
  • Assist with merchandise sales, inventory management, ordering, and receiving
  • Serve as operational event lead for all game-day and non-game day events
  • Assist with day-to-day maintenance of the ballpark and equipment including but not limited to repairs, moving items, organization of equipment and goods, cleaning etc.
  • Increase operational efficiencies through technology, systems and processes
  • Be knowledgeable and proficient in point of sale procedures
  • Ensure compliance of all safety and sanitary standards
  • Monitor in-stadium signage and cleanliness: ensure all signs are hung properly, concession areas are clean, etc.
  • Assist with Funatix Event operations, including but not limited to: operational event planning, event setup, food & beverage and/or staffing
  • Represent the team at various networking events and participate in other outside, community events, as defined by the team

Requirements

  • Previous Food and beverage, customer service or operations experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, with an ability to think and react to situations quickly and confidently
  • Assertive, persistent, and results oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and think strategically
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem solving, analytic skills and efficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • The ability to work extended hours upwards of 14 hours and lift 30-50 lbs
  • Enthusiastic team player with strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Must be a self-starter with a desire to work hard and have a positive “can‐do” attitude
