About the position

As a Bank Agile Product Owner Lead - Storefront at USAA, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development of customer experiences on the Storefront platform, specifically aligned with Credit Card products. This position requires you to work directly with the Bank agile team to prioritize tasks that drive business outcomes while ensuring that the commitments of the Bank agile team are met. You will be accountable for making critical decisions and prioritizing the Bank agile team backlog to effectively support the business strategy. Your role will also involve acting as the 'voice of the end-user', ensuring that customer feedback is integrated into the product development process. In this position, you will bring a data-driven approach to decision-making and the removal of impediments, including strategic priorities and funding allocation. You will set the product and value stream direction, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders across the organization. Establishing a culture within the Bank agile team that emphasizes transparency, learning, and continuous improvement will be essential. You will be responsible for seeking opportunities for testing and learning, as well as driving quality improvements within the team. The role requires you to partner with the Bank agile team to develop and communicate the vision and strategy for Bank products, focusing on member satisfaction. You will lead the team in understanding business requirements to create effective product solutions and collaborate with stakeholders to implement strategic objectives. Your ability to solve unique problems with a broad impact on the business will be crucial, as will your expertise in managing the product lifecycle and ensuring that the team meets its objectives and key results (OKRs).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of customer experiences on the Storefront platform aligned with Credit Card products.
  • Work directly with the Bank agile team to prioritize tasks that drive business outcomes.
  • Act as the 'voice of the end-user' to ensure customer feedback is integrated into product development.
  • Make critical decisions and prioritize the Bank agile team backlog to support business strategy.
  • Establish a culture within the Bank agile team that emphasizes transparency, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and communicate the vision and strategy for Bank products.
  • Ensure the Bank agile team understands business requirements for effective product solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to implement strategic objectives and deliver quality solutions.
  • Drive execution of successful objective implementation for Bank products and customer experience.
  • Optimize the flow of value by assisting in a multi-Bank agile team environment and removing impediments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4+ years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis or related to supported business operations/product line.
  • Knowledge of multiple technical software delivery methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall, SAFe).
  • Expert experience in analyzing business requirements, process flows, and use cases to identify opportunities for streamlining processes.
  • Expert understanding of Process Engineering methodologies and Change Management practices.
  • Extensive experience with applicable banking regulatory and compliance policies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience as an Agile Product Owner and/or Agile Product Manager.
  • Familiarity with Credit Card products.
  • Strong background with Adobe Experience - AEM, Target, Analytics, User Experience, and Design Thinking.
  • US military experience through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner.
