As a Senior Agile Product Owner in our Bank Digital and Transformation Team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our mobile and online banking experiences. This position requires a passion for building best-in-class digital customer experiences and a commitment to innovation and member-centricity. You will collaborate closely with technology, design, content, data analytics, and business partners to create and improve our banking solutions. Your role will involve acting as the 'voice of the end-user', utilizing a data-driven approach to make informed decisions about experience improvements and to remove impediments that may hinder progress. You will also be responsible for establishing a culture of transparency and learning within the Bank agile team, focusing on continuous improvement and quality in our processes and products. In this position, you will be accountable for communicating and driving the vision and strategy to key stakeholders and team members. You will work closely with the Team-of-Teams Lead to clarify and align on business strategies, goals, and objectives, translating these into a clear vision for the agile team. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a groomed backlog of user stories, optimizing the flow of value through the agile environment, and proactively seeking customer feedback to ensure that we deliver end-user value. You will also be expected to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and make recommendations to leadership, while ensuring that risks associated with business activities are effectively managed in accordance with compliance policies. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, advanced knowledge of process engineering methodologies, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively. You will be expected to lead functional agile teams or projects with moderate resource requirements and complexity, ensuring that we meet our objectives and deliver high-quality results. The position is based in one of several locations, including Tampa, FL, and requires in-office attendance four days a week, with no relocation assistance available.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and drive the vision and strategy to key stakeholders and Bank agile team members.
  • Collaborate with the Team-of-Teams Lead to clarify and align on business strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Translate business understanding into a clear vision for the Bank agile team to inform backlog creation and prioritization.
  • Define and communicate acceptance criteria for output based on business requirements and customer needs.
  • Anticipate and solve complex issues using a data-driven approach, including fund allocation and tracking OKRs.
  • Act as the 'voice of the end-user' and proactively seek customer feedback.
  • Own the Bank agile team backlog, including grooming, prioritization, and refinement.
  • Maintain a groomed backlog of user stories and work with the Agile team to estimate story size and complexity.
  • Optimize the flow of value through the Agile environment and progress towards objectives while removing impediments.
  • Take a strategic view to meet objectives and act in service of the Bank agile team's needs and goals.
  • Look for opportunities for continuous improvement and make recommendations to leadership.
  • May lead functional agile teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of multiple technical software delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SAFe).
  • Advanced experience analyzing business requirements, process flows, and use cases to streamline business processes.
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of Process Engineering methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of applicable banking, regulatory, and compliance policies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience creating user journeys that guide customers to successful completion in the digital channel.
  • Analytics and data-driven mindset with experience in Human Centered Design initiatives.
  • Experience with Mobile Banking and/or Mobile application development.
  • Significant experience managing cross-functional teams with minimal oversight.
  • Experience in leading innovative programs that translate business and customer needs into solutions.
