About the position

As an Agile Product Owner (APO) Senior, you will play a crucial role in our Bank Digital and Transformation Team, where your passion for building best-in-class digital customer experiences will be put to good use. You will collaborate closely with technology, design, content, data analytics, and business partners to create and enhance mobile and online banking experiences. Your role will involve acting as the ‘voice of the end-user’, utilizing a data-driven approach to improve experiences and remove impediments, while also managing strategic priorities and funding allocation. In this position, you will be responsible for establishing a culture of transparency and learning within the Bank agile team, focusing on continuous improvement and quality. You will communicate and drive the vision and strategy effectively to key stakeholders and team members, ensuring the delivery of quality products and member experience solutions. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a groomed backlog of user stories, optimizing the flow of value through the agile environment, and proactively seeking customer feedback to enhance user value. You will also be expected to take a strategic view of objectives and goals, while identifying opportunities for process improvement and making recommendations to leadership. This role requires you to work in the office four days a week, with locations available in San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA, or Tampa, FL. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and drive the vision and strategy to key stakeholders and Bank agile team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine business needs and ensure delivery of quality product and member experience solutions.
  • Work closely with the Team-of-Teams Lead to clarify and align on business strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Translate business understanding into a clear vision for the Bank agile team to inform backlog creation and prioritization.
  • Define and communicate acceptance criteria for output based on business requirements and customer needs.
  • Anticipate and solve complex issues using a data-driven approach, including fund allocation and tracking OKRs.
  • Act as the ‘voice of the end-user’ and proactively seek customer feedback to understand their needs.
  • Own the Bank agile team backlog, including grooming, prioritization, and refinement.
  • Optimize the flow of value through the multi-Bank agile team Agile environment and manage risks and issues.
  • Look for opportunities for continuous improvement and make recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of multiple technical software delivery methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall, SAFe).
  • Advanced experience analyzing business requirements, process flows, and use cases to streamline business processes.
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of Process Engineering methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of applicable banking, regulatory, and compliance policies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience creating user journeys that guide customers to successful completion in the digital channel.
  • Analytics and data-driven mindset with experience in Human Centered Design initiatives.
  • Experience with Mobile Banking and/or Mobile application development.
  • Significant experience managing cross-functional teams with minimal oversight.
  • Experience in leading innovative programs that translate business and customer needs into measurable solutions.
  • US military experience through service or as a military spouse/domestic partner.
