As a Senior Agile Product Owner in our Bank Digital and Transformation Team, you will play a crucial role in crafting best-in-class digital customer experiences. This position requires a passion for innovation and a member-centric approach, as you will collaborate closely with technology, design, content, data analytics, and business partners to enhance mobile and online banking experiences. Your role will involve acting as the 'voice of the end-user', utilizing a data-driven approach to improve experiences and remove impediments, while also establishing a culture of transparency and learning within the Bank agile team. In this position, you will be accountable for communicating and driving the vision and strategy to key stakeholders and team members. You will work closely with the Team-of-Teams Lead to clarify and align on business strategy, goals, and objectives, translating this understanding into a clear vision for the agile team. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a groomed backlog of user stories, optimizing the flow of value through the agile environment, and proactively seeking customer feedback to ensure end-user value is delivered. You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and may lead functional agile teams or projects with moderate resource requirements and complexity. To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in process improvement, project delivery, and business analysis, along with advanced knowledge of software delivery methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall. Your ability to communicate complex concepts and negotiate effectively will be essential as you work to drive alignment and deliver high-quality solutions. This position offers a flexible work environment, requiring you to be in the office four days a week, and is available in several locations including San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA, or Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and drive the vision and strategy to key stakeholders and Bank agile team members.
  • Work closely with the Team-of-Teams Lead to clarify and align on business strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Translate business understanding into a clear vision for the Bank agile team to inform backlog creation and prioritization.
  • Define and communicate acceptance criteria for output based on business requirements and customer needs.
  • Anticipate and solve complex issues using a data-driven approach, including fund allocation and tracking OKRs.
  • Act as the 'voice of the end-user' and proactively seek customer feedback.
  • Own the Bank agile team backlog, including grooming, prioritization, and refinement.
  • Optimize the flow of value through the multi-Bank agile team Agile environment.
  • Act in service of the Bank agile team's needs and goals, offering feedback and clarifying requirements.
  • Look for opportunities for continuous improvement and make recommendations to leadership.
  • May lead functional Bank agile teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of multiple technical software delivery methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall, SAFe).
  • Advanced experience analyzing business requirements, process flows, and use cases to streamline business processes.
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of Process Engineering methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of applicable banking, regulatory, and compliance policies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience creating user journeys that guide customers to successful completion in the digital channel.
  • Analytics and data-driven mindset with experience in Human Centered Design initiatives.
  • Experience with Mobile Banking and/or Mobile application development.
  • Significant experience managing cross-functional teams with minimal oversight.
  • Experience in leading innovative programs that translate business and customer needs into solutions.
