About the position

The position involves guiding, directing, and coaching employees in the Retail Banking Sales & Service sector to deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. The role focuses on understanding customer needs, providing sales and service aligned with their financial objectives, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. It also emphasizes fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion, developing branch business plans, and enhancing customer relationships through community involvement and strategic advice.

Responsibilities

  • Guide, direct, and coach employees to deliver exceptional service to customers.
  • Advise customers on products and strategies that meet their financial objectives.
  • Identify and make referrals to other business groups.
  • Support sales and customer service activities to meet strategic goals.
  • Conduct sales calls and establish a personal referral network.
  • Develop and maintain a network in the community to enhance the Bank's visibility.
  • Resolve customer-related issues using knowledge of bank services and products.
  • Build the business plan for the branch and influence to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor sales and service performance against plans and develop action plans to close gaps.
  • Lead the implementation of new programs, products, and processes within the branch.

Requirements

  • Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail banking products and services.
  • Advanced knowledge of competitive marketplace and trends in product offerings.
  • Working knowledge of branch operational processes and policies.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
  • In-depth verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration and team skills - In-depth.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth.
