About the position

The Bank Manager at Midwest Heritage is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing practices and programs to achieve the bank's objectives. This role focuses on sales growth by building relationships with businesses and customers, ensuring the overall success of the bank branch. The Bank Manager will lead a competent sales team, oversee daily operations, and collaborate with the VP Retail Sales Manager to meet growth, income, and profitability goals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the branch has a competent and productive sales team.
  • Recruit, retain, and motivate high-quality employees in collaboration with the Operations Supervisor.
  • Assist with performance evaluations for Sales Associates and Loan Officer.
  • Manage staff schedules and attendance records.
  • Provide leadership and direction for staff, facilitating monthly branch meetings.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-ones with the Operations Supervisor.
  • Assist in training Sales Associates.
  • Meet monthly business development goals by contacting existing business customers and prospects.
  • Develop a knowledgeable sales team that understands market needs and promotes products and services.
  • Act as the primary source for mortgage and consumer loan referrals to the Loan Officer.
  • Establish a cohesive working relationship with the Loan Officer to enhance sales efforts.
  • Present a positive image of Midwest Heritage and develop key relationships through civic activities.
  • Plan and implement annual bank office goal strategies and budgets with the Operations Supervisor.
  • Ensure all operations are carried out accurately and efficiently, minimizing financial risk and complying with regulations.
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan in collaboration with the Operations Supervisor.
  • Ensure the bank meets branch audit requirements satisfactorily.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Hy-Vee Store Directors and employees.
  • Communicate and implement sales strategies to bank employees.
  • Motivate and train staff to provide excellent customer service and cross-sell products.
  • Maintain a satisfied customer base by directing sales and delivery processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Three or more years of experience in banking, financial services, marketing, or sales.
  • Successful sales experience is required.
  • Previous management experience is required.
