About the position

The Bank Operations Onboarding Specialist at UMB Bank is responsible for partnering with business unit stakeholders and business systems analyst teams to onboard new and existing client treasury services. This role focuses on understanding client needs, ensuring satisfaction through quality service, and coordinating with various functions to deliver effective solutions. The specialist will also provide consultative support, manage client expectations, and facilitate testing of new services.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business unit stakeholders and business systems analyst teams to onboard new and existing client treasury services.
• Develop relationships with clients and relationship teams to identify solutions and improve client experience.
• Understand client expectations and execute onboarding treasury needs.
• Respond urgently to internal and external client inquiries and concerns.
• Collaborate with the Relationship Team to set clear expectations regarding deliverables and due dates.
• Ensure client satisfaction through quality service and coordination of client needs with other functions.
• Complete, track, and QC customer changes including account management and user profile updates.
• Configure application-enabled business systems and construct test cases for new services.
• Provide end-user consultative support and assist with end-user training.
• Provide leadership and guidance for all aspects of assigned requests.
• Validate production implementation and act as a liaison between UMB operations and client.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• 3+ years of proven customer service experience or equivalent background, preferably in banking or financial services.
• 3 years of Operations support or business systems analysis experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of web-based Treasury applications such as Pep+, UMB Direct, and UMB Online Banking.
• Understanding of regulatory issues such as the Bank Secrecy Act, FACTA, and NACHA Rules.
