About the position

The Client Service Representative (CSR) position at Poppy Bank involves managing new account transactions, assisting clients with account selections, and promoting the bank's products and services. The role is available at three levels: Senior CSR, CSR III, and CSR II, each requiring varying levels of experience and responsibility. The position emphasizes customer relations, compliance with banking regulations, and cross-selling bank services to enhance client satisfaction and bank profitability.

Responsibilities

• Open and support consumer and business checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and Trust & Estate Accounts.
• Process all new account transactions and assist clients in selecting appropriate accounts and financial services.
• Actively cross-sell the Bank's products and services to new and existing customers.
• Maintain and close all account types, performing branch clerical duties as needed.
• Promote business for the Bank by maintaining good client relations and referring clients to appropriate staff and partners for new services.
• Ensure compliance with all Bank policies and procedures and applicable state and federal banking regulations.
• Respond to client inquiries and requests regarding accounts and provide expedient and courteous service both in person and on the phone.
• Gather data and process various reports as assigned, such as currency transactions and overdrafts.
• Participate in monthly business development calls and maintain thorough knowledge of bank products and services.

Requirements

• Senior CSR: Minimum of three years banking teller experience required, with advanced experience in opening consumer and complex business accounts.
• CSR III: Minimum of two years banking teller experience required, with experience in opening consumer and basic business accounts.
• CSR II: Minimum of one year banking teller experience required, with beginner experience in opening consumer accounts.
• Strong customer relations skills and ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers.
• Knowledge of basic banking regulations such as BSA and Information Security.
• Excellent judgment and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Proficiency in using Word, Excel, and Outlook applications and banking programs.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior supervisory experience is preferred for Senior CSR position.
