About the position

Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, PLC is seeking a Banking and Finance/General Business Attorney with a minimum of five years of law firm or equivalent experience to bolster the firm's business and banking/finance practice. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of the Uniform Commercial Code and will be adept at conducting due diligence, drafting loan and collateral documents that encumber both personal property and real estate, as well as loan modification agreements. Additionally, the attorney will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating loan and collateral documents for sophisticated borrower clients. In addition to banking and finance expertise, candidates should possess general corporate law experience, particularly in advising private companies on corporate governance matters and other general business issues. Responsibilities

  • Support the firm's business and banking/finance practice.
  • Conduct due diligence for corporate finance and commercial lending.
  • Draft loan and collateral documents encumbering personal property and real estate.
  • Draft loan modification agreements.
  • Review and negotiate loan and collateral documents for sophisticated borrower clients.
  • Advise private companies on corporate governance matters and general business issues.

Requirements

  • At least five years of law firm or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of the Uniform Commercial Code.
