About the position

The Banking Center Manager is responsible for overseeing all banking center employees and managing day-to-day operations to ensure safety, operational soundness, and excellent service levels. This role emphasizes a sales-oriented culture, focusing on the development of new and existing customer relationships while leading a team to achieve sales goals and maintain compliance with banking regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all banking center employees and supervise daily operations.
  • Ensure safety and operational soundness of the banking center.
  • Develop and maintain a sales-oriented environment.
  • Host weekly staff sales meetings to review sales efforts and goals.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to teammates.
  • Supervise staff, delegate duties, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Underwrite and authorize loans within company guidelines.
  • Create work schedules and communicate information effectively.
  • Document calls, referrals, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Create quarterly and annual reports on business unit operations.
  • Assist subordinates in resolving difficult accounts.
  • Complete compliance and regulatory training on time.
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as needed.
  • Build personal relationships with customers and understand their financial needs.
  • Educate customers about financial strategies and First Horizon products.
  • Analyze customer financial information to identify needs and opportunities.
  • Manage own sales activities and set goals for selling and cross-selling.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to enhance customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and two or more years of high-performing sales experience.
  • Experience in a financial services environment is a plus.
  • Proven leadership ability, supervising two or more subordinate employees.
  • Willingness to acquire Wealth Management licenses as needed.

  • Experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of banking center operations and general bank operations.
  • Ability to coach and counsel banking center employees effectively.
