About the position

The Banking Center Specialist at Country Bank plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and building relationships with clients. This position involves engaging with customers to understand their financial needs, managing account services, and ensuring a seamless banking experience. The specialist is responsible for various banking transactions, account openings, and maintaining compliance with banking regulations, all while promoting the bank's values and services.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and pursues opportunities to build and deepen customer relationships by actively listening and engaging the customer.
  • Offers Country Bank solutions and educates customers on products, promotions, and digital services.
  • Meets defined growth and sales goals and achieves acceptable average satisfaction ratings on customer surveys.
  • Takes ownership of customer requests and manages the customer experience from end-to-end.
  • Involves referral partners to meet customer requests and resolves or escalates customer issues as needed.
  • Opens various types of new accounts, ensuring proper identification and documentation is collected.
  • Provides instructions and education on self-service set-up products to customers.
  • Manages account servicing requests such as processing address changes and issuing new ATM/Debit cards.
  • Processes financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
  • Balances a cash box, cash recycler, and vault daily while maintaining compliance with performance criteria.
  • Originates and closes home equity lines of credit and consumer loans.
  • Independently opens and closes Banking Centers daily following bank procedures.
  • Models and promotes the Country Bank Experience for all staff.
  • Participates in role-play and skill-building exercises to improve customer engagement techniques.
  • Maintains knowledge of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing banking activities.
  • Participates in bank promotions and community events to foster new business opportunities.
  • Builds long-lasting relationships with customers and colleagues through the embodiment of core values.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service or sales experience required.
  • Work experience in the banking and/or finance industry preferred.
  • Experience with cash handling preferred.
  • Must acquire and maintain a Notary Public license and active registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.
  • Strong customer service and sales skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to make effective presentations in a group setting required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word required.
