About the position

The Banking Center Manager II is responsible for the overall success of the assigned banking center, ensuring profitability through effective sales and promotion of bank products, ethical oversight of operations, and fostering a positive environment for both clients and associates. This role involves managing a banking center with a portfolio of over 2000 demand deposit accounts and providing management support to other centers as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a fast, easy, and personal client experience consistent with company standards.
  • Measure and manage sales based on daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeted goals.
  • Market bank products to target clients and promote goodwill to generate new business.
  • Provide community education outreach to fulfill CRA commitments.
  • Educate clients and associates on the digital banking platform and self-service channels.
  • Coach and mentor staff through role play and regular meetings to improve performance.
  • Implement banking center procedures and conduct regular audits to ensure security and profitability.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and positive bank image through regular inspections and maintenance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and associate information and ensure adherence to security processes.
  • Promote an ethical environment by modeling integrity and requiring ethical behaviors from associates.
  • Supervise banking center staff, including hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure timely completion of scheduling and timecard approvals.
  • Perform banking center transactions during busy times or when understaffed.
  • Responsible for satisfactory outcomes of audits and reviews by various departments.
  • Communicate and instill corporate initiatives and vision within the team.
  • Complete other specified duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-year banking center experience; experience with DFC banks preferred.
  • 1-year management/supervisory experience required.
  • Sales or networking experience required; sales and marketing aptitude required.
  • Proven track record of business development skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math and counting skills.
  • High emotional intelligence with proven ability to motivate and coach others.
  • Ability to multi-task and be comfortable with on-the-job training.
  • Proficiency with common computer programs (i.e. Windows, MS Office, email, etc.).
  • Thorough understanding of retail banking loan and deposit products.
  • Ability to travel outside of the banking center within the local area, up to 20%, is required.
  • Ability to be NMLS licensed and registered.
