About the position

The basic function of this position is to perform the installation of financial and ATM equipment, pneumatic banking systems, bank locks, mechanical systems, as well as CCTV and access control systems. The role requires working with minimal supervision and may involve providing training and assistance to less senior technicians or trainees. The technician will be responsible for planning and scheduling installation and subcontracting activities on assigned projects, ensuring the timely delivery of supplies and equipment to job sites, and preparing and managing the project installation plan and job procedures with input from the Senior Technician or Supervisor. The technician will also determine if there are necessary changes in design or installation plans and implement those changes as needed. Maintaining the construction schedule and coordinating task scheduling is crucial, as is monitoring the performance of subcontractors and reporting progress to the Senior Technician or Supervisor. The technician will maintain project records regarding status, changes, materials, and will assist in estimating projects that the company is bidding on. In addition to overseeing the quality installation of ADT products, the technician will provide information to determine labor and material requirements on a weekly basis, ensuring continuity of customer operations and a high level of customer satisfaction. The role involves installing various types of equipment at different locations within the assigned territory, applying knowledge of basic electricity and electronic theory to engineering functions such as evaluation testing and installation of bank equipment. Effective customer service skills are essential, as the technician will communicate consistently with service coordinators, dispatchers, management, and customers to ensure a complete customer satisfaction experience. The technician is also expected to attend training classes when offered, complete monthly vehicle reports in a timely manner, and maintain accurate truck inventory to respond promptly to customer needs. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and schedules installation and subcontracting activities on assigned projects.
  • Coordinates the installation and timely delivery of supplies/equipment to the job site(s).
  • Prepares/manages the project installation plan and job procedures with input from the Senior Technician or Supervisor.
  • Determines necessary changes in design/installation plan and implements them.
  • Maintains construction schedule and coordinates task scheduling.
  • Monitors the performance of subcontractors and reports progress to the Senior Technician or Supervisor.
  • Maintains project records regarding status, changes, materials, etc.
  • Estimates or assists in estimating projects which the company is bidding on.
  • Keeps accurate records and posts all time for hours worked.
  • Routinely oversees the quality installation of ADT products.
  • Provides information to determine labor and material requirements on a weekly basis.
  • Provides continuity of customer operations and a high level of customer satisfaction/service to the clients.
  • Installs Financial/ATM equipment and other electro-mechanical equipment at various locations within assigned territory.
  • Installs pneumatic banking systems, various bank locks, and mechanical systems.
  • Applies knowledge of basic electricity and electronic theory to engineering functions such as evaluation testing and installation of various pieces of bank equipment.
  • Exhibits effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with service coordinator, dispatcher, management, and customers.
  • Attends training classes when offered.
  • Completes monthly vehicle reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate truck inventory to ensure timely responses to customers' needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational Training.
  • Three (3) plus years of technical experience with low voltage systems, banking systems, integrated equipment, and pneumatic drive-up systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to clear a drug screening.
  • Low voltage Journeyman's license.
