About the position

The Banking Technical Project Manager at OpTech is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of banking data engineering projects. This role requires a seasoned IT project manager with expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet business objectives. The position involves managing project execution, resource planning, and risk management while providing technical and analytical guidance to the project team.

Responsibilities

• Manage small to medium-sized projects of moderate complexity.
• Ensure on-time delivery and execution of critical technology projects.
• Develop detailed, actionable project schedules with the core project team.
• Assign tasks and develop accurate work schedules, project estimates, and resource plans.
• Execute, monitor, and control technical projects from concept through implementation.
• Communicate project accomplishments and overall health to stakeholders.
• Manage and monitor project budgets with a focus on cost containment.
• Review project deliverables, especially technical artifacts.
• Manage technical vendor teams and track vendor deliverables.
• Ensure support areas are engaged for effective training and turnover of technical solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT Project Management.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong skills in resource demand and allocation.
• Ability to manage project financials end-to-end.
• Experience with banking data engineering projects.
• Understanding of banking regulations.
