About the position

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Bankruptcy Paralegal in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The Bankruptcy Paralegal will oversee the accurate processing and filing of bankruptcy cases, ensuring that all documentation is handled in compliance with legal standards. In addition to case management, the paralegal will maintain professional communication with clients and other legal professionals, assisting in billing functions to ensure that all services are correctly invoiced. Staying up-to-date with changes in bankruptcy law is crucial for this role, as it ensures that all practices remain compliant with current regulations. The paralegal will also handle customer inquiries, providing accurate and timely responses to ensure client satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accurate processing and filing of bankruptcy cases.
  • Perform briefing duties, summarizing legal documents and case details.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients and other legal professionals.
  • Assist in billing functions, ensuring all services are correctly invoiced.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in bankruptcy law to ensure all practices are compliant.
  • Handle customer inquiries, providing accurate and timely responses.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) and Case Management Software.
  • Experience with CompuLaw and ability to perform Billing Functions.
  • Excellent Briefing and Calendar Management skills.
  • Experience in Claim Administration.
  • Exceptional Communication skills.
  • Expertise in Bankruptcy procedures, Bankruptcy Filings and Bankruptcy Law.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex cases.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with legal terminologies and procedures.
