About the position

The Bankruptcy Paralegal will support a busy law firm in Orlando, specializing in bankruptcy cases. This role requires a strong understanding of bankruptcy concepts and court procedures, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills to manage case files and client interactions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing bankruptcy filings and court documents.
• Manage case files and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
• Communicate with clients and provide updates on case status.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
• Utilize the CM/ECF filing system for electronic submissions to bankruptcy courts.
• Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7 to 10 years of experience as a paralegal, specifically in bankruptcy law.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of electronic filing through CM/ECF in bankruptcy courts.
• Familiarity with basic bankruptcy concepts and court pleadings.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
