About the position

The Banquet & Catering Sales Manager at Classic Events Catering is responsible for marketing, selling, and coordinating event spaces for one of Western New York's most prestigious banquet companies. This role involves managing customer inquiries, overseeing event coordination, and developing business opportunities to enhance event sales. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for creating memorable events.

Responsibilities

  • Market and sell event space for Classic Events Banquets and Events.
  • Handle customer inquiries and serve as the point-of-contact for all event details.
  • Oversee the coordination of all event information and resources.
  • Manage accounts, conduct sales prospecting, and develop business opportunities.
  • Prepare proposals for clients and maintain organized event records.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Conduct tours of the event facility for clients.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to clients, vendors, and meeting planners.
  • Focus on improving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Plan all elements of events, including logistics and details.
  • Prepare detailed Banquet Event Orders, contracts, floor plans, and client invoices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Strong customer service and sales skills.
  • Past experience in the hospitality sales department.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Flexible schedule.
