About the position
The Banquet Lead-AV Specialist is responsible for overseeing the execution of events, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading the banquet team. This role involves coordinating audio-visual setups, food and beverage service, and maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervising the Banquet team with enthusiasm and clear direction.
- Partnering with the Banquet Manager to ensure all event details exceed guest expectations.
- Providing outstanding service to guests and ensuring their needs are met throughout the event.
- Overseeing setup, execution, and cleanup of events to ensure smooth operations.
- Assisting with food and beverage delivery as needed during events.
- Training team members on serving plated and reception-style meals.
- Performing side work to prepare for upcoming events and maintaining cleanliness in service areas.
- Responding promptly to guest and team member requests.
Requirements
- Mid-level experience in banquet or event management.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and monitor satisfaction during events.
