About the position

The Banquet & Logistics Manager at The Boca Raton is responsible for overseeing all banquet activities at both the Beach Club and Harborside locations. This role involves hiring, training, and directing banquet staff to ensure successful events and repeat business. The manager will also be responsible for scheduling, monitoring staff performance, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Hires, trains, and directs the banquet staff in servicing all banquet activities.
  • Oversees events at both Beach Club and Harborside locations.
  • Compiles paperwork for shift duties and teams.
  • Schedules banquet and logistics staff for all events.
  • Attends all mandatory meetings and completes assigned side work.
  • Supervises the set-up of function rooms according to event specifications.
  • Inspects function rooms and equipment for cleanliness and proper inventory.
  • Communicates effectively with kitchen, service, and engineering staff during events.
  • Cleans meeting spaces before, during, and after events.
  • Sets up tables and chairs to meet function specifications.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of meeting room setup and food and beverage preparations.
  • Knowledge of service standards and luxury resort etiquette.
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read event orders and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Experience with food and beverage equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in Banquet and Banquet Setup departments.
