About the position

We are hiring an OEM Banquet Manager for the Grand Prairie Events Center, located adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for serving others and are committed to providing exceptional guest experiences. Our events at the hotel are crucial for showcasing our venue for receptions, meetings, trainings, and reunions, and we believe that a strong team is essential for delivering quality service and ensuring guest satisfaction. The Banquet Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the team, motivating staff, and ensuring that all standards of quality are met during events. The Banquet Manager will be responsible for greeting guests and accommodating their needs during events, ensuring that all service areas are clean and safe, and overseeing the setup, execution, and clean-up of events. This role requires excellent communication skills to interact with guests regarding menu inquiries and to anticipate their needs throughout their dining experience. The manager will also assist in delivering food and beverages, train staff on serving styles, and respond promptly to any guest requests. Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor is essential, as is the ability to perform various duties as assigned to support the team and enhance the overall guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional guest service to all customers.
  • Lead the team with motivation and direction, ensuring all standards of quality are met.
  • Greet guests and accommodate all guests' needs during events.
  • Communicate effectively with guests regarding menu inquiries.
  • Deliver food and beverages from staging areas to guests as needed.
  • Assist other servers during peak periods in delivering food and guest requests.
  • Train others on serving plated and reception style meal services.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and monitor their dining experience for satisfaction.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Oversee setup, execution, and clean-up for events.
  • Perform side work to prepare for upcoming events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in all service areas.
  • Maintain a professional and personable appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Valid Driver's License (Preferred)
  • Experience in event management or hospitality industry.
