About the position
The Banquet Sales Manager at Copeland's of New Orleans is responsible for driving revenue through the sales of private events and catering orders. This role involves direct sales, marketing efforts, and collaboration with various departments to enhance the guest experience and ensure successful event execution.
Responsibilities
- Generate revenue through sales of private events and catering orders.
- Develop and enhance existing private events for 30 to 300 guests.
- Solicit new business through lead generation and various sales techniques.
- Create and prepare event and catering proposals, ensuring accurate cost assessments.
- Work closely with General Managers and Executive Kitchen Managers to ensure timely execution of proposals.
- Maintain an organized database of contact information and finalized contracts.
- Partner with the Marketing Department to support promotions and enhance catering menus.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a hospitality industry sales role.
- Experience in outside sales.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work with General Managers on action plans to improve sales initiatives.
- Flexibility in work schedule and hours.
- Self-starter with the ability to achieve financial results with minimal supervision.
- Experience in setting up and running events is recommended.
