About the position

The Banquet Set-up Houseperson is responsible for the efficient and correct setup of banquet facilities, ensuring that all equipment and areas are prepared according to group requirements. This part-time role requires a friendly and outgoing personality, with a focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently set up tables, chairs, platforms/stages, and other equipment as specified by group requirements.
  • Check and adjust temperature and lighting in function rooms.
  • Ensure electrical hook-ups are in working order and tape down exposed cords.
  • Pick up and deliver boxes/materials for functions.
  • Service and freshen function rooms during breaks.
  • Break down tables, chairs, platforms/stages, and other equipment after events.
  • Return all unused equipment in clean condition to the proper storage area.
  • Keep function and equipment storage areas neat and clean.
  • Perform deep cleaning of function areas as assigned.
  • Report to work when scheduled and in proper uniform.
  • Maintain a consistent professional and positive attitude when communicating with guests, vendors, and associates.
  • Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  • Perform any other tasks or duties as requested by management.
