About the position

The General Manager at Bar Dough is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, and driving profitability. This role involves leading and mentoring a diverse team, maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness, and implementing operational excellence to enhance the dining experience. The General Manager will also focus on career development for team members and uphold the company's commitment to safety and health standards in a post-COVID-19 environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and mentor team members to reach their full potential.
• Ensure a coaching culture thrives and hold direct reports accountable to policies and procedures.
• Source high potential candidates and screen them using approved interview guides.
• Set clear performance goals and expectations for the team, providing ongoing feedback.
• Drive associate engagement through various methods, including annual engagement surveys.
• Ensure positive guest service and resolve complaints within 24 hours.
• Maintain professional restaurant image, including cleanliness and food quality standards.
• Monitor team performance and operational systems, making necessary adjustments.
• Analyze financial data daily to maintain profitability and achieve labor and payroll goals.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and federal/state/local laws.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Obtain and maintain current Serve Safe Food Manager's Certification within six months of hire/promotion.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and perform essential job functions such as standing, bending, and walking long distances.
• Standing for long periods and ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Bachelor of Science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable, or a combination of practical experience and education.
