About the position
The Barback/Bartender position involves supporting the bartender in various tasks to ensure smooth bar operations. This role includes setting up the bar, stocking supplies, polishing glassware, serving food and beverages to patrons, and learning the art of mixology.
Responsibilities
- Assist the bartender in daily operations
- Set up the bar before service
- Stock bar supplies and ingredients
- Polish glassware and maintain cleanliness
- Serve food and beverages to bar patrons
- Enter orders into the POS system
- Clear plates and glassware from tables
- Break down the bar after service
- Learn and practice mixology skills
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Basic knowledge of bar operations
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work flexible hours
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a barback or bartender
- Knowledge of mixology and cocktail preparation
- Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system
