About the position
Shatto 39 Lanes is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Barbacks/Bartenders. This position is essential in ensuring that our bar operates smoothly and efficiently, providing excellent service to our guests. As a Barback/Bartender, you will be responsible for maintaining a well-stocked and organized bar area, preparing garnishes, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the bar space. You will assist in the daily setup of the bar, which includes requisitioning and stocking liquor, beer, wine, juices, garnishes, condiments, and glassware as needed. Your role will also involve maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar top, surrounding areas, and service areas, including sweeping and mopping floors and taking out the trash regularly during your shift. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be expected to handle, carry, or push items weighing up to 50 pounds, such as ice, carts, boxes, and bottles. This position requires a proactive approach to work, as you will be performing various duties assigned by management to ensure the bar runs efficiently. Responsibilities
- Assisting with maintaining a properly set-up bar on a daily basis.
- Requisitioning and stocking liquor, beer, wine, juices, garnishes, condiments, and glassware as needed.
- Preparing garnishes, stock ice, glassware, share plates, bar napkins, straws, etc.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar top, surrounding bar areas, bar walls, refrigerators, and floors under equipment.
- Sweeping and mopping service areas, including floor mats, and taking out trash regularly during the shift as needed.
- Handling, carrying, or pushing items weighing as much as 50 pounds (ice, carts, boxes, bottles, etc).
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of barback experience in a similar high-volume cocktail environment.
- ServSafe food handlers and RBS certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or GED.
