About the position

We are seeking a friendly and professional Door Person to join our team who can also barback periodically. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is essential in creating a positive experience for all visitors while maintaining the operational flow of our establishment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive and depart, ensuring a pleasant first impression.
• Assist with managing the flow of guests entering and exiting the venue.
• Provide information about services, menus, and events to enhance guest experience.
• Monitor guest access to ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with kitchen and catering staff to facilitate smooth service during events.
• Handle inquiries and requests efficiently, demonstrating strong customer service skills.
• Assist with food handling and serving as needed, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
• Operate POS systems for transactions related to food and beverage services.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the entrance area.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, showcasing familiarity with food handling practices.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Experience in kitchen operations or catering can be beneficial.
• Proficiency in operating cash registers or POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being proactive in assisting guests.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively assist guests and convey information clearly.
• A willingness to help others and provide support wherever needed within the establishment.
