About the position

The Bariatrician assesses, develops, and recommends a treatment plan for patients seeking medical weight loss management. Facilitates and coordinates strategic program planning, development and education as it pertains to the medical weight loss component of the bariatric surgery department. We are looking to add a metabolic clinic to an established MBSAQIP accredited Comprehensive Center. We seek a dynamic physician with passion for metabolic medicine, who works well within a multidisciplinary team, and is energized to grow and expand the service offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and develop treatment plans for patients seeking medical weight loss management.
  • Facilitate and coordinate strategic program planning and development.
  • Educate patients and staff regarding medical weight loss components.

Requirements

  • Completion of accredited ABMS approved family medicine or internal medicine residency.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical or Osteopathic School required.
  • Board Certification in Obesity Medicine (ABOM) required.
  • 3 years clinical practice as primary care provider preferred.
