About the position

The Barista at Hotel Queen Mary plays a crucial role in guest services, focusing on the daily operations of the Starbucks facilities and other Food and Beverage areas. This position is responsible for preparing and serving beverages and food to guests, ensuring high-quality product and service standards to maximize guest satisfaction and hotel profitability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares beverages requested by customers or servers according to standard operating procedures, ensuring proper proportions and ingredient control to provide a consistent product.
  • Maintains clean and organized work areas to maximize efficiency; sets up the bar and back bar according to established procedures.
  • Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner and follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Performs pre and post-shift side work including stocking the service station and making coffee.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of Food & Beverage outlet customer service experience, including cash handling, preferably with previous Barista experience.
  • Friendly and customer-centric attitude, with a love for smiling and radiating positivity while interacting with customers.
  • Ability to maintain a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
