About the position

The Barista/Bobarista at Feng Cha is responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and selling a variety of drinks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role involves engaging with customers, educating them about the menu, and ensuring a high-quality experience at the teahouse. The position offers flexible scheduling and requires availability on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes customers by determining their interests and needs.
• Educates customers by presenting and explaining FENG CHA's menu and answering questions.
• Up-sells additional products when appropriate.
• Prepares and sells FENG CHA drinks by following set recipes and preparation techniques.
• Generates revenue by attracting new customers and defining new services and products.
• Maintains inventories by replenishing supplies.
• Keeps equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance.
• Carries dirty plates, glasses, and silverware to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Re-organizes seating arrangements and wipes down tables to maintain a tidy dining area.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Implements changes to improve quality results and the appearance of the store and workstation.
• Enhances FENG CHA's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new requests and exploring opportunities to add value.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• 1 year of experience in food service (Required).
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays (Required).
• Ability to work day and night shifts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a boba or tea shop (Preferred).
