About the position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating a warm and inviting café experience for our customers. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and providing exceptional customer service. It requires creativity, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills to ensure every guest leaves satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering any questions regarding menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, dining areas, and equipment.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Assist with food preparation and handling as needed, ensuring all food safety standards are met.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
• Promote sales by suggesting additional items or specials to customers.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts for cash handling and sales transactions.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor that fosters positive interactions with customers.
• Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling safety practices is an advantage.
• A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage options.
