About the position

The Cashier position is a vital role within our organization, responsible for utilizing a cash register to accept payments and provide excellent customer service. This role involves preparing and serving coffee and food items to guests, ensuring that the quality of food presentation meets our high standards. The Cashier must maintain excellent attendance in accordance with our attendance policy, as reliability is crucial in this position. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $17 to $19, reflecting the importance of the responsibilities undertaken by the Cashier. This is an evergreen role, meaning applications are accepted on an ongoing basis without a specific deadline, allowing for flexibility in hiring as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the cash register sales by entering the orders and completing the transaction.
• Maintain stock and supply levels, and communicate to the Concessions Stand Manager about low stock items.
• Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including disposal of garbage and cleaning dishes.
• Produce and serve coffee beverages.
• Serve customers grab-and-go items such as baked goods and pizza.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Past barista experience preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to learn to handle cash and operate a cash register and corresponding system.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers, and guests.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards.
